This couple have one of the sweetest love stories filled with passion and a strong love for the outdoors, dancing and family! Jill is a Canadian who met the love of her life (Rolf is a mountain climber from Switzerland) while on an international adventure. As it can happen the happiness they felt together brought Rolf to move to Canada to be with Jill! Ironically I personally met Rolf while ice climbing a couple of year ago and I asked him “Why would you leave a beautiful place like Switzerland?” And he replied “I met this wonderful Canadian girl”. A year later he called me and said that wonderful Canadian girl said she would marry him and they asked me to capture their wedding! I was honoured! They shared their wedding celebration in Jills Parents back yard in the breathtaking Ghost River– camping style!! Many of Rolf’s family flew over from Europe to celebrate their wedding as did their international collection of super fun friends! They had an outdoor games time post ceremony where everyone had a blast mingling and playing rad games like slackening.
Given the amount of family support and passion these two share I was blessed to get to be a part of their day… I have a great sense these two will rock marriage!!!
As you can see they were very smart to have rented the big white heated dome tent as the rain storm moved in so quick just as they were about to walk down the isle!
